The Center for Creative, Performing Arts and Sports (CECPAS) today recognized winners, participants and organizers of the Inaugural Creative Arts Week 2024 that was held from 30th October – 1st November 2024 in a colorful ceremony in the University’s Senate Boardroom attended by the Vice-Chancellor’s representative the Ag. DVC Academics & Students Affairs Prof. Ernest Mohochi.
The Ag. DVC ASA who opened the event thanked all members for having participated in making it a success and bringing out hidden talents among our students community. He stressed on the place of the creative and performing arts in the largest economies around the world and hoped that such events will help the country tap this unexploited area and help grow our economy. He assured participants of the Vice-Chancellors and the entire University’s commitment in supporting talents among the students population.
The Director CECPAS, Dr. Edwin Masibo on his part thanked the Vice-Chancellor and the entire University Management for having supported the Center in staging a colorful event that attracted a number of items that ranged from plays, narratives, songs, poems, spoken words, modern creative dances among many others. Dr. Masibo also thanked the Ag. DVC ASA for having graced the presentations that had earlier been made during the Creative Arts Week and his pledge to support the 2025 edition.
Other guests during the event included the CECPAS Board members, the Director Office of Careers Services Dr. Robert Wafula and the Kibabii University International Choir Patron Dr. Irine Simiyu.
